I had forgotten about these pictures from our first few weeks home and they made me smile today. Sometimes I don't realize how far Miss Katee has come.
During those first few weeks we spent every possible moment outside. Katee was happiest there, and so were Ori and Calla.
Every outdoor toy we owned littered the yard. The kids looked like crazy messes every day. (Ha! It's true! Poor Calla's hair was everywhere, clothes were mismatched, etc.)
Katee freaked out about every little thing . . . like that leaf on the sidewalk.
A little over a month home, we are settling in. Three kids isn't quite as overwhelming. Calla's hair is fixed every morning again. Katee sleeps and naps just fine, and her cry is quieter these days and not so heart wrenching. Katee is also learning that her fussy fits do not get her what she wants around here. The competition between Calla and Katee is lessening. I could go on and on. As we still have a ways to go in other areas, it is good for me to see how far our girl has come in 1.5 months.
2012 brought us the greatest gift; it is a year filled with memories I will never, ever forget. Katee's the sweetest, most affectionate little girl and we are beyond blessed. She amazes me, and I cannot wait to see her grow and thrive in 2013!
