Monster Truck Cake

It's October!! Do you know what that means? It means that next month, we will have our baby girl in our arms. I've waited a long time to say that, and we are so very excited. (And for those who are curious, we do not have exact dates yet and will not have them until we get Travel Approval from China later this month . . . but it will be sometime in November!)

Because of our little Katee, my kitchen has continued to be a busy (and messy!) place. I have loved baking cakes for the many, many people who have wanted to help bring our girl home.

This past weekend, however, I baked and decorated a cake for sweet Ori. He has been talking about his "monster truck cake" for months and was thrilled with it.

He had some specific requests: the cake itself had to be green (his favorite color) and the monster trucks had to have faces (which is why I went with the Cars monster trucks).
