We said yes! {Signing the LOA}

On: Wednesday, August 22, 2012

Thank you, thank you for your sweet comments and excitement over Katee. I feel like I have been in a daze since Monday. We went out for Chinese food Monday night to celebrate the long-awaited arrival of our LOA. Ori and Calla practiced picking up crayons with chop sticks while Ian and I shared lots of smiles and conversed.

We came home to find that a few of my friends had left this pretty package on the porch. (I told you I have great friends!)

Look what was inside the package!

Isn't it darling? I can't tell you how much I love seeing Calla and Katee's names together. It will be perfect in their room. (Although I must tell you that Ori wanted to hang it in his room, since he found his name on it too. Do you see the O-R-I? Pretty cool.) Thank you, sweet friends!

Last night, with big smiles, we checked the box to accept the referral of Qing Ji and signed our names.

There was no hesitation. Yes, she is ours.

Look at that sweet face!!
WE ARE GOING TO CHINA!!! KATEE IS COMING HOME!!!
For those of you who asked, we will most likely travel to China in November. There is still some paperwork that must be completed before we are granted Travel Approval (TA). However, the next steps are much more predictable than the LOA. For China adoptions, the family makes just one, two-week trip and everything is completed while in China.

Congratulations!! I have been following your blog for some time now, and I am so happy to see prayers answered this way. I traveled with my husband's family to China a few years ago and the country is amazing. I hope you are able to experience some of the culture when you travel to get your gorgeous girl :-)

This part of the wait was the hardest for me! I was so ready to have my hands on her after I saw her face for the first time.

Fun pics!! I was so excited and nervous when we signed our LOA that I put the WRONG date down! You know by now that the wrong date on something is like an unforgivable sin in China. I was so upset! But it all worked out!
