I was blessed to spend a long weekend in Colorado with two of my very dear friends to celebrate Laura's 30th birthday (I totally should have made her a cake!! Sorry, Laura!).

I traveled with these two. They were great travel buddies. Our 55 minute flights to or from Colorado felt like 10 minutes. That's what happens when you talk with a good friend, play with an adorable baby, and eat chips and salsa on an airplane. ;)

The weekend was filled with lots of my favorite things. Two trips to Ikea (flying really limits what one can purchase, unfortunately), lots of shopping,

Starbucks, pedicures, late night talks . . .

So sad to say goodbye, but forever grateful for authentic and genuine friendships. Thank you for a perfectly perfect weekend, Laura and Jess! I loved every minute of it.

Monday was back to the "real world". I laughed inside as I gave Ori and Calla an early afternoon bath after finding them in a huge mud hole outside.

Life at Breezy Acres is very different from the past four days I spent sipping frappuccinos and visiting Pottery Barn and Anthropologie (my first time!). Different, but oh so good and fulfilling. I'm thankful for the balance of experiencing a much needed mommy-break/encouragement from friends and being happy to return to my life at home.

Loving the pictures! We have an IKEA here but no Pottery Barn, Walmart, Cheesecake Factory or reasonably priced Reese's pieces here in Australia. I'm preparing my LOOOOONG list for when we are in the USA later this year. Still sad that Kansas isn't on our itinerary....
